Pursuant to section 103 of the Land Transport Management Act 2003, the NZ Transport Agency gives notice, with effect from 15 June 2017, that:

  1. Part of State Highway 3 described in the First Schedule is revoked; and
  2. the section of new road described in the Second Schedule is declared to be State Highway 3.

First Schedule

Part of State Highway 3 in South Taranaki from old RP 298/1.59, approximately 100m north of the intersection with Te Roti Road extending in a generally southerly direction to old RP 298/4.64, at the intersection of Wallscourt Place and Kete Marae Road. The length of road to be revoked is approximately 3.0km.

Second Schedule

Part of State Highway 3 in South Taranaki, commencing from existing RP 298/1.51 extending in a general southerly direction to new RP 298/4.48, approximately 300m west of the Waihi Township. The length of road to be declared is approximately 3.0km.
