Under section 24B(4)(b) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation declares that the marginal strip requirements set out in section 24 of the Act shall not apply in the case of the disposition of the land in the Schedule.

The land is the site of the Whakamaru Power Station, land that is required in connection with electricity works.
