Notice of Final Determinations by the Minister of Conservation on an Official Crown Protected Area Name
Pursuant to section 29(2)(b) of the New Zealand Geographic Board (Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa) Act 2008 (“Act”), the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (“Board”) hereby gives notice of a new Crown protected area name.
The Board did not concur with the proposal, under section 27 of the Act, and referred its recommendation to the Minister of Conservation for a final determination in accordance with section 29(1) of the Act.
Having considered the Board’s recommendation, on 6 July 2016, the Minister of Conservation declared the final determination to be the official Crown protected area name as described in the Schedule below.
This decision takes effect on 6 October 2016.
