Under the Land Act 1948, the Director, Operations, Department of Conservation, Auckland, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, with the consent of the Minister for Land Information, hereby sets apart the land in the Schedule as a reserve and, under the Reserves Act 1977, declares the land to be classified as a local purpose (esplanade) reserve for the purpose of section 23 of the Reserves Act 1977.
