Notice of Discontinued Official Geographic Name

Pursuant to sections 10(1)(d), 24 and 21(2) of the New Zealand Geographic Board (Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa) Act 2008 (“Act”), the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (“Board”) hereby gives notice of a discontinued official geographic name, as described in the Schedule below.

This discontinued official geographic name relates to a geographic feature that is no longer within the Board’s jurisdiction and therefore should not be an official geographic name.

The discontinued official geographic name may continue to be used, but would no longer be subject to the requirements of the Act, and the future responsibility for its naming, if any, will no longer lie with the Board.

The Board’s final determination on this discontinued official geographic name took effect on 2 June 2016.
