Pursuant to clause 4 of the Commodity Levies (Blackcurrant) Order 2013, a levy has been imposed on, and shall be payable by, the growers of blackcurrants for commercial purposes.

In accordance with clause 9 of the Order, Blackcurrants NZ Incorporated has determined the rate of the levy from 1 October 2016 to 30 September 2017 to be 3.5 cents/kg.
