Pursuant to section 388 of the Education Act 1989, the Education Council of Aotearoa New Zealand has published the following rules:

• Education Council Rules 2016.

These rules come into force on 1 July 2016 and revoke the following rules:

• The New Zealand Teachers Council (Conduct) Rules 2004;
• The New Zealand Teachers Council (Competence) Rules 2007;
• The New Zealand Teachers Council (Making Reports and Complaints) Rules 2004;
• The New Zealand Teachers Council (Impairment Process) Rules 2009; and
• The New Zealand Teachers Council (Amendment and Replacement of Rules) Rules 2004.
