Pursuant to sections 10 and 5B of the District Courts Act 1947, and section 354(3) of the Criminal Procedure Act 2011, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to appoint

Thomas James Gilbert, barrister and solicitor of Wellington

to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand and to conduct jury trials for a period commencing on 15 April 2016 and expiring on 15 August 2018; and

June Marie Jelas, barrister and solicitor of Auckland

to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand and to conduct jury trials for a period commencing on 11 March 2016 and expiring on 8 November 2017.
