Pursuant to section 94A of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, The Honourable Gerard Anthony Brownlee, Acting Minister of Civil Defence, give notice of a national transition period over the Kaikoura, Hurunui and Marlborough Districts owing to the Hurunui/Kaikoura earthquake on 14 November 2016.

This national transition period comes into force in the Kaikoura, Hurunui and Marlborough Districts at the time and date this notice is given, being 1.00pm on 9 December 2016.
