This notice is issued pursuant to section 4A of the Electricity Act 1992 (“Act”), and declares the following companies to be electricity operators for all the purposes of the Act, including for the purpose of line function services:

• Bay Energy Limited; and
• Tilt Renewables Limited.

Explanatory note

This note is for explanatory purposes only.

The Declaration of Electricity Operators (Bay Energy Limited and Tilt Renewables Limited) Notice 2016 declares Bay Energy Limited and Tilt Renewables Limited, soon to commence activities as electricity generators following the demerger of Trustpower Limited, to be electricity operators under the Act.

Both are declared an electricity operator for all the purposes of the Act, including for the purpose of lines function services, which gives them rights to construct and maintain electricity works on roads and access rights in respect of level crossings.
