Notice of Exemption for Equipment from the Health and Safety in Employment (Pressure Equipment, Cranes, and Passenger Ropeways) Regulations 1999

Pursuant to Regulation 6 of the Health and Safety in Employment (Pressure Equipment, Cranes, and Passenger Ropeways) Regulations 1999, I, Simon Humphries, in exercise of the powers delegated in me by the Chief Executive of WorkSafe New Zealand (“WorkSafe”), hereby give notice of exemption from these Regulations in their entirety to the Auckland International Airport Limited (AIAL) Fuel Hydrant System, subject to the following conditions.

The conditions are:

  1. The affected pipeline is the AIAL Fuel Hydrant System, between the Joint Users Hydrant Installation and the Airport Apron as shown on Coregroup drawing 8347-0212-001 R1 in its entirety.
  2. The affected pipeline shall have all duties in relation to it including design, construction, operation, maintenance and inspection carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Health and Safety in Employment (Pipelines) Regulations 1999 (notwithstanding paragraphs (c)(i), (ii) and (iii) of the definition of “Pipeline” in those regulations).
  3. The Fuel Hydrant System will maintain an up-to-date Pipeline Certificate of Fitness issued by an Inspection Body recognised under the Pipelines Regulations.
