Pursuant to section 87N(4) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, sections 41(1) and 42 of the State Sector Act 1988, and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport dated 10 September 2013, notice is given that, having received an application from Air Berlin PLC & Co. Luftverkehrs KG of Berlin, Germany, Peter Mersi, Secretary for Transport, Ministry of Transport, has granted the airline a Scheduled International Air Service Licence, authorising it to carry on scheduled services between Germany and New Zealand without capacity restraints.

The licence, which is for an indefinite term, took effect on 20 September 2016.
