Pursuant to section 28 and clause 1 of Schedule 5 of the Crown Entities Act 2004 and section 8 of the Health Research Council Act 1990, the Minister of Health has appointed

Dr Lester Levy

as a member and Chairperson of the board of the Health Research Council of New Zealand for a term commencing on 1 January 2016 and ending on 31 December 2018.
