Pursuant to sections 10 and 5B of the District Courts Act 1947, and section 354(3) of the Criminal Procedure Act 2011, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to appoint
James Andrew Robert Johnston, barrister and solicitor of Wellington
to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand and to conduct jury trials for a period commencing on 10 June 2016 and expiring on 7 January 2019.
