Pursuant to section 61(3) of the Government Roading Powers Act 1989, section 22AB of the Land Transport Act 1998 and the Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003, the NZ Transport Agency hereby makes the following bylaw.

Bylaw

1. Title and commencement—This bylaw may be cited as the New Zealand Transport Agency (Speed Limits on State Highways) Amendment Bylaw 2016/8 and will come into force on and from 21 December 2016.

2. Amendment—The New Zealand Transport Agency (Speed Limits on State Highways) Bylaw 2010/10* is hereby amended by:

• Amending line 221A in Schedule 1 to read:
  “Line No.: 221A
  Region: 3
  SH No.: 3
  Locality: Hangatiki
  Section of State Highway: From a point 500m north of the intersection with State Highway 37 to a point 588m south of the intersection with State Highway 37.
  Speed Limit (km/h): 80
  New Zealand Gazette Reference: 15/12/2016, Notice No. 2016-au7026”
• Inserting line 734A in Schedule 1 to read:
  “Line No.: 734A
  Region: 9
  SH No.: 2
  Locality: Upper Hutt
  Section of State Highway: In a southbound direction from 250m north of Whakatiki Street to 550m south of Whakatiki Street.
  Speed Limit (km/h): 80
  New Zealand Gazette Reference: 15/12/2016, Notice No. 2016-au7026”
• Inserting line 771A in Schedule 1 to read:
  “Line No.: 771A
  Region: 10
  SH No.: 60
  Locality: Richmond
  Section of State Highway: From 400m north west of Moutere Highway to 400m south east of Moutere Highway.
  Speed Limit (km/h): 80
  New Zealand Gazette Reference: 15/12/2016, Notice No. 2016-au7026”

3. Authority to make bylaw—This bylaw was made by the Chief Advisor, Highways and Network Operations, under delegated authority of the NZ Transport Agency.
