Pursuant to section 26 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 (“Act”), the Environmental Protection Authority hereby determines that

replication-defective retroviral vectors (lacking gag, pol, and env genes); and

replication-defective adenoviral vectors (lacking E1 genes and which are derived from viruses of the genus Mastadenovirus)

are not new organisms for the purpose of the Act.
