Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservation Partnerships Manager, North Canterbury District, Department of Conservation, classifies the reserve described in the Schedule as a local purpose (fire depot) reserve and appoints the Hurunui District Council to control and manage the reserve for that purpose.
