Acting District Court Judges Appointed
Pursuant to sections 10 and 5B of the District Courts Act 1947, section 354(3) of the Criminal Procedure Act 2011 and section 5(1) of the Family Courts Act 1980, Her Excellency the Administrator of the Government has been pleased to appoint
Richard John McIlraith, barrister and solicitor of Auckland
to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand and to conduct jury trials for a period commencing on 24 February 2016 and expiring on 8 November 2017; and appoint
Emma Beatrice Parsons, barrister of Auckland
to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand and to exercise the jurisdiction in the Family Courts for a period commencing on 15 March 2016 and expiring on 3 April 2018.
