Pursuant to clause 4(3) and with reference to clause 5(5) of the Customs and Excise (Border Processing Levy) Order 2015, I hereby notify that the rates of levy for the initial levy period (beginning with 1 January 2016 and ending with 30 June 2018), and for any subsequent levy period unless otherwise notified, are as follows:

1. $7.50 for a traveller who arrives in New Zealand on a cruise ship;
2. $7.45 for all other travellers who arrive in New Zealand;
3. $3.10 for a traveller who departs New Zealand on a cruise ship; and
4. $2.93 for all other travellers who depart New Zealand.

The rates of levy are exclusive of goods and services tax.
