Pursuant to section 256 of the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act 2006 (“the Act”), notice is hereby given that on 6 September 2013 the High Court issued a judgment which recorded the appeal against a penalty decision of the New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal is allowed. The decision is modified to include an order, under section 242(1)(e) of the Act, that

be suspended from practice as a barrister and a solicitor for a period of nine months commencing 1 October 2013.
