ORDER IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 71(1)(b) of the Government Roading Powers Act 1989, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council and at the request of the New Zealand Transport Agency, makes the following order.

O r d e r

1. Title—This order is the Government Roading Powers (Declaration of the Tauranga Eastern Link Motorway) Order 2015.

2. Commencement—This order comes into force 28 days from the date it receives publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

3. Motorway declared—The road specified in the Schedule is declared to be a motorway.

Specified Road

The section of State Highway 2 being those traffic lanes, shoulders, and verges within the fence lines for the Tauranga Eastern Link Toll Road commencing at the bull nose of the splitter island for the east bound off-ramp, at the Domain Road Interchange (Route Position 164/5.78), extending in a generally eastern direction towards Paengaroa for approximately 15.04 kilometres and terminating at the end of the splitter island at the entry into the Paengaroa roundabout (Route Position 177/7.16), including motorway ramps and connections to and from the Domain/Tara Road roundabout.
