In terms of sections 24C(1) and 24C(1A) of the Judicature Act 1908, after consultation with the Chief High Court Judge, I nominate

The Honourable Justice Geoffrey John Venning, Chief High Court Judge of New Zealand

as the Supervising Judge of the Commercial List established at the office of the High Court, Auckland, under section 24A of the Judicature Act 1908.

The nomination takes effect from 10 August 2015.
