Acting District Court Judges Appointed

Pursuant to sections 10 and 5B of the District Courts Act 1947 and section 354(3) of the Criminal Procedure Act 2011, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to appoint

Warren Paul Cathcart, barrister and solicitor of Auckland

to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand and to conduct jury trials for a period commencing on 7 August 2015 and expiring on 1 March 2017; and

Richard John Earwaker, barrister of Auckland

to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand and to conduct jury trials for a period commencing on 12 August 2015 and expiring on 15 August 2018; and

James Douglas Large, barrister of Dunedin

to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand and to conduct jury trials for a period commencing on 24 August 2015 and expiring on 12 February 2017; and

Kim Bernadette Frances Saunders, Solicitor-General of the Cook Islands

to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand and to conduct jury trials for a period commencing on 30 July 2015 and expiring on 6 July 2018; and

Anthony John Sturges Snell, barrister of Napier

to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand and to conduct jury trials for a period commencing on 18 August 2015 and expiring on 21 January 2017.
