Draft Transition Recovery Plan

Pursuant to section 20 of the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Act 2011, notice is given to invite members of the public to make written comments on the Draft Transition Recovery Plan.

The matters addressed by the Draft Transition Recovery Plan include, but are not limited to:

  • An overview of the current state of the recovery from the effects of the Canterbury earthquakes. This includes context of what has been achieved so far in the recovery and what is still to be achieved.
  • Recovery result areas for central government.
  • An overview of central government recovery functions proposed to continue after 18 April 2016, and how they will be delivered.

Written comments on the Draft Transition Recovery Plan must be received by 5.00pm on Thursday 30 July 2015. The written comments will be considered by the Minister along with the requirements of the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Act 2011 before deciding whether to approve the Recovery Plan (with or without changes).

Reference copies of the Draft Transition Recovery Plan will be available from Friday 3 July 2015 at the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority’s office at Level 8, HSBC Tower, 62 Worcester Boulevard, Christchurch, and libraries and service centres in the districts of the Christchurch City Council, Selwyn District Council and Waimakariri District Council.

Any person or organisation may make comments on the Draft Transition Recovery Plan.
