New Zealand Designation of a New Terrorist Entity
On 4 May 2015, pursuant to section 35 of the Terrorism Suppression Act 2002, Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis was designated as a terrorist entity in New Zealand.
Any person who deals with the property of this entity may be liable to prosecution for an offence under section 9 of the Terrorism Suppression Act 2002.

Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis (also known as also known as ABM, Jamaat Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis, Ansar Beit al-Maqdis, Ansar Jerusalem, Jamaat Ansar al-Dalwa al-Islamiyya fi Bayt Al Maqdis, Supporters of the Holy House, Mu’tassim Billah Battalion, Group of Partisans of Jerusalem, Sinai Peninsula and Wilaya of Sinai of the Islamic State).

These designations expire on 4 May 2018, unless earlier revoked or extended pursuant to section 35 of the Terrorism Suppression Act 2002.
