Pursuant to section 47(3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Director of Maritime New Zealand hereby notifies the granting of the following exemptions:

• 1 from Maritime Rule 40C, Section 4 – Design, Construction and Equipment – Non-passenger ships that are not SOLAS Ships – Barges
• 1 from Maritime Rule 46.23 – Surveys, Certification and Maintenance – Barges – Survey of barges
• 1 from Maritime Rule 46.24 – Surveys, Certification and Maintenance – Barges – Certification of barges
• 1 from Maritime Rule 47, Section 3 – Load lines – Barges that do not operate beyond the coastal limit
• 1 from Maritime Rule Part 49 – Ships’ Lifting Appliance
