In accordance with section 34(1)(a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice of his intention to make the following ordinary Civil Aviation Rules:

Part 147 – Maintenance Training Organisations – Certification

The purpose of this rule is to prescribe requirements for the certification and operation of maintenance training organisations.

This proposal is intended to assist the economic development of the aircraft maintenance training sector by aligning with international organisational certification standards.

Consequential Amendments are proposed to:

Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Personnel Licensing

Part 119 Air Operator – Certification

Part 145 Aircraft Maintenance Organisations – Certification
