Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservation Partnerships Manager for the Waikato District of the Department of Conservation vests the local purpose (cemetery) reserve described in the Schedule in the Waipa District Council, subject to the condition that the Waipa District Council will involve Waikato Tainui Te Kauhanganui marae in management of the reserve should the marae seek to be involved.
