Notice of Intention to Take a Leasehold Estate-State Highway 1 Wellington Northern Corridor (Transmission Gully), Porirua City

Notice is hereby given that the Minister for Land Information proposes to take, under the Public Works Act 1981, an existing leasehold interest ("lease") in the land described in the Schedule of this notice ("land").
The lease has been created by a deed of lease dated the 6th day of October 2006 between Savile Row Marketing Limited as landlord and Lewis's Home Fabrics Limited as tenant ("lessee").
The land is required for construction of the State Highway 1 Wellington Northern Corridor (Transmission Gully) ("project").
More particularly, the land is required for motorway purposes and it is necessary to extinguish the lease.
The project is required to cater for increasing traffic volumes and to improve the safety and efficiency of
State Highway 1 and the local road network.
The lessee has been served with notice of the Minister for Land Information's intention to take the lease, and advised of their right to object.
Any other person having the right to object may send
a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court,
5th Floor, District Court Building, 49 Ballance Street, Wellington 6011, or by post to DX SX11154, Wellington, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice,
a public hearing will be held with the right of the objector to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.

(a) A stratum estate in freehold, being Unit 1 and Accessory Unit 1A, 1B DP 402262 and a half share in Accessory Unit A DP 402262 (Computer Unit Title Register 407078 and Supplementary Record Sheet 461112); and
(b) A stratum estate in freehold, being Unit 2 and Accessory Unit 2A, 2B DP 402262 (Computer Unit Title Register 407079 and Supplementary Record Sheet 461112).
The land is located at 1/37 and 2/37 Kenepuru Drive, Porirua.
