Pursuant to section 5 of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, the Department of Conservation notifies that the following application was received from the Hutt City Council (Dowse Art Museum) on 16 January 2014 to:
- export one short finned pilot whale (G. macrorhynchus) bone for temporary display at an art exhibition at Galerie Handwerk, Munich, Germany.

Any person wishing to make a submission on this application can do so by writing to Martin Carter, Department of Conservation, Hamilton Service Centre, Private Bag 3072, Hamilton 3240, within 28 days after publication of this notice.
Unless a person making a submission states to the contrary in the submission, that person will be deemed to give his/her consent to the release under the Official Information Act 1982 of all the information in the submission.
