Under section 78M of the Education Act 1989 (acting under delegated authority), I direct the Group Manager, Sector Enablement and Support, to appoint a limited statutory manager for the board of trustees of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Te Puaha o Waikato.
The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:
- All functions, powers and duties of the board in curriculum management including teaching and assessment practice (whether statutory or otherwise);
- all functions, powers and duties of the board to manage financial operations (whether statutory or otherwise); and
- all functions, powers and duties of the board in relation to property management (whether statutory or otherwise).
A limited statutory manager may also advise the board on the following:
- Planning and reporting including charter review, strategic planning, and annual planning;
- school wide self-review; and
- complaints procedures.
This notice takes effect on the day of publication.
