New Zealand Designation of Two New Terrorist Entities

On 4 March 2014, pursuant to section 22 of the Terrorism Suppression Act 2002, the entities listed below were designated as terrorist entities in New Zealand.
Any person who deals with the property of the entities listed below may be liable to prosecution for an offence under section 9 of the Terrorism Suppression Act 2002.
Organisations
Boko Haram (also known as Jama'atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda'awati Wal Jihad, Jama'atu Ahlus-Sunna Lidda'Awati Wal-Juhad, Nigerian Taliban, People Committed to the Prophet's Teachings for Propagation and Jihad, Group of the Followers of the Prophet
for Propagation and Holy Struggle, Sunni Group for Preaching and Jihad); and
Ansaru (also known as Jama'atu Ansaril Muslimina fi Biladis Sudan, Ansarul Muslimina Fi Biladis Sudan, Vanguard for the Protection of Muslims in Black Africa, Supporters of the Muslims in the Land of the Blacks or JAMBS).

These designations expire on 4 March 2017, unless they are
earlier revoked or extended pursuant to section 35 of the Terrorism Suppression Act 2002.
