Pursuant to sections 95 and 110 of the Education Act 1989,
I hereby specify that Westbridge Residential School and Halswell Residential College will be governed by a combined board of trustees to take effect from 31 January 2014.
Pursuant to section 95 of the Education Act 1989, I hereby approve the following constitution for the combined board of trustees of Westbridge Residential School and Halswell Residential College:
- A chairperson appointed by the Minister of Education;
- up to four members appointed by the Minister of Education;
- the Principal of Westbridge Residential School;
- the Principal of Halswell Residential College;
- one staff representative nominated and elected by the staff of the two schools; and
- up to 3 trustees co-opted by the board.
Except as set out in this constitution, all provisions of
the Education Act 1989 and any Regulations made under
it, regarding eligibility, casual vacancies, appointments, terms of office and elections apply to the board.
This notice takes effect the day of its publication.
