Notice of Application for Approval of a Scheme
Under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957
Notice is hereby given that the KAIWAIWAI HALL TRUST has made an application to the High Court at Masterton for approval of a scheme under section 32 of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957.
The application is to be heard before the High Court at Wellington on Monday 18 August 2014 at 10.00am.
The scheme proposes to:
(a) vary the purposes of the trust to align with the purposes of the Featherston Anzac Club Society Incorporated; and
(b) to allow the trustees to dispose of the trust's property (including the Kaiwaiwai Hall situated on Featherston-Martinborough Road) with the proceeds of sale to be paid and applied to the Featherston Anzac Club Society Incorporated for the purposes of furthering that society's charitable purpose.
Any person desiring to oppose the application is to give written notice of intention to do so to the Registrar of the High Court at Wellington and to the trust at the address below not less than seven clear days before the date of the hearing.
