Pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training and Apprenticeships Act 1992, full recognition of the Primary Industry Training Organisation as an industry training organisation has been granted for a further period of five years, with effect from 22 June 2014, to set standards at Levels 1-7 on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework for the agriculture, animal care and handling, animal products inspection, baking yeasts manufacturing, dairy processing and manufacturing, equine (including racing), fellmongering, floristry, greyhound racing, horticulture, leather manufacturing, meat processing and manufacturing (excluding poultry), rural servicing, seafood, sports turf and water (including irrigation) industries.
