Notice that the Secretary of Labour (a position now warranted to the Acting Chief Executive Designate, WorkSafe New Zealand) has asked the Minister of Labour to approve the review of the Approved Code of Practice for Safety and Health in Forest Operations (ACOP) pursuant to section 20 of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992.
The revised ACOP will set out a statement of preferred work practices or arrangements for the health and safety practices for forestry principals, contractors, and workers.
Interested parties will be invited to comment on the proposed ACOP when it is developed.
The Minister of Labour has approved the review of the Approved Code of Practice for Safety and Health in Forest Operations.
