Notice of Final Determinations to Assign and Alter Official Geographic Names

Pursuant to sections 19 and 21(2) of the New Zealand Geographic Board (Nga Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa) Act 2008, the
New Zealand Geographic Board Nga Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (the "Board") hereby gives notice of the final determinations
to assign new and alter existing geographic names.
The new and altered official geographic names are now official geographic names and are specified in the first column of the Schedule below ("the Schedule").
The geographic feature type that each new and altered official geographic name relates to is set out in the second column of the Schedule below.
The description of each new and altered geographic name is set out in the third column of the Schedule below.
The Board’s final determinations on these official geographic names took effect on 26 April 2013.

Aroarokaehe Range Range A significant range located on the Southern Alps / Ka Tiritiri o te Moana, on the boundary between Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park and Westland National
Park / Tai Poutini National Park. Heading south from La Perouse to Mount Sefton, NZTopo50 BX15-Fox Glacier, GR 653 683 to GR 616 592. Assigning a new name.
Haupapa / Tasman Glacier Glacier A major alpine feature located within the Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park. NZTopo50 BX16-Mount Elie De Beaumont, approximate source GR 857 800 to termination at Tasman Lake, GR 730 608. Alteration from Tasman Glacier (recorded name).
Kirikirikatata / Mount Cook Range Range A major alpine feature within the Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park. Heading south from Green Saddle below Mount Dampier to Hooker Corner, NZTopo50 BX15-Fox Glacier, GR 692 696, BX16-Mount Elie De Beaumont, BY15-Birch Hill, GR 686 531. Alteration from Mount Cook Range (recorded name).
