Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservation Support Manager for the Wellington Hawke’s Bay Conservancy of the Department of Conservation changes the classification of that part of the reserve described in the First Schedule from a recreation reserve to a local purpose (community building and amenity) reserve, subject to the provisions of the Act, and further vests the reserves described in the First Schedule and the Second Schedule in the Horowhenua District Council, in trust for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the reserves.
Subject to the Crown reserving the right to cancel
the vesting of the reserves in whole or in part should the reserves be required for Treaty of Waitangi settlement purposes.
