I hereby give notice that, under section 75 of the Animal Welfare Act 1999, the Animal Welfare (Layer Hens)
Code of Welfare 2012, Amendment Notice 2013, is issued on 19 December 2013, being the date it is notified in
the New Zealand Gazette, and comes into effect on
20 December 2013, being the day after the date it is notified in the New Zealand Gazette.
This amendment notice amends the Animal Welfare (Layer Hens) Code of Welfare 2012*.
The amendment is available for inspection free of charge or for purchase at the office of Animal Welfare, Standards Branch, Ministry for Primary Industries, Pastoral House,
