Pursuant to section 153(1)(b) of the Education Act 1989,
I hereby declare that Te Pi'ipi'inga Kakano mai i Rangiatea Kura Kaupapa Maori will become a Year 1-13 composite wharekura on 5 May 2014 and cease to be a Year 1-8 primary kura on that day.
The wharekura will enrol students in stages as follows:
Year 1-9 students in 2014.
Year 1-10 students in 2015.
Year 1-11 students in 2016.
Year 1-12 students in 2017.
Year 1-13 students in 2018.
The enrolment of Year 11-13 students is dependent on a positive Education Review Office readiness review of planning for senior secondary school provision.
