Under section 9 of the Reserves Act 1977 ("the Act"),
I hereby make the following appointments to the Molesworth Steering Committee, which is an Advisory Committee for the purposes of the Act to:
- advise the Minister of Conservation on the biodiversity, recreation and pastoral farming management of Molesworth;
- assist in the preparation of a draft Conservation Management Plan (CMP) for consideration and approval pursuant to section 40B of the Act; and
- advise the Minister of Conservation and Landcorp Farming Limited on any issues arising from the implementation of the terms of the Land Act 1948 lease and the management plan
for those areas of Molesworth Station Recreation Reserve described in the Schedule.
Terms of Appointment
The term of Gerald Francis Soanes was extended to
9 October 2013.
The term of Hamish Roderick Ensor as chair is extended to 20 December 2013.
Phillip McKenzie is appointed for a term from 10 October 2013 to 4 October 2016.
Director, Conservation Services, North and Western South Island, Department of Conservation, is appointed to the Committee as an ex officio member.
