Pursuant to sections 5B and 10 of the District Courts
Act 1947 and section 354(3) of the Criminal Procedure Act 2011, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, has been pleased to appoint
John Bergseng, barrister and solicitor of Havelock North
to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil
and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand, and to conduct jury trials for a period of two years commencing
on 13 November 2013.
