Pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, full recognition is given to the New Zealand Engineering Food and Manufacturing Industry Training Organisation Incorporated (trading as Competenz) for a period of five years, with effect from 1 January 2014 to 31 December 2018, to set standards at Levels 1-8 on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework for the communications and media industries including journalism (including print, radio, television and digital), graphic design, marketing, printing production, digital communications, fibreboard packaging, and signmaking.
