Pursuant to section 79 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 ("HSNO Act"), the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) gives notice that it approved
on 11 November 2013 the code of practice HSNOCOP 63 Management and Handling of Used Oil.
The purpose of this code of practice provides a means of compliance with the regulatory controls made under the HSNO Act for the management and handling of used oil.
The code provides guidance to used oil generators, collectors, transporters, processors, end users and regulatory authorities.
Pursuant to section 80(1) of the HSNO Act, this code can be inspected at the Wellington office of the EPA, Level 10, ANZ Tower, 215 Lambton Quay, Wellington 6011.
