Pursuant to section 8 of the Industry Training Act 1992, The New Zealand Flooring Training Organisation Incorporated has been provisionally recognised from the date of this notice until 27 May 2014 to set standards at Levels 1-8 on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework for the:
- Flooring industry - in the areas of production, distribution, sales, and installation of resilient/soft flooring and associated flooring surfaces excluding the production, distribution, sales, installation and maintenance of flooring surfaces such as slate, cement/clay tiles and pavers, ceramic tiles and natural stone, and liquid floor coatings, seamless flooring and screeds.
- Painting and paperhanging industry (painting and decorating) - with respect to the preparation of
surfaces and application of paints, coatings, coverings and associated products, including resins.
