Notice Under Section 147B of the Financial Advisers Act 2008

Pursuant to section 147B(1)(d) of the Financial Advisers Act 2008, the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) gives notice of the issue of a consultation paper on the proposed Regulatory Reporting Guide for Authorised Financial Advisers.
The Regulatory Reporting Guide is referred to in Standard Condition 2 of the Standard Conditions for Authorised Financial Advisers.
The Regulatory Reporting Guide will be incorporated into Standard Condition 2 of the Standard Conditions for Authorised Financial Advisers and will apply to the current authorisations of financial advisers on 21 March 2014.
As the Regulatory Reporting Guide relates to a reporting requirement for authorised financial advisers and will assist FMA to understand the profiles of those advisers and focus its resources more appropriately in monitoring the authorised financial adviser population, FMA considers that the Regulatory Reporting Guide should apply to the current authorisations of financial advisers ahead of the renewal of those authorisations.
The Consultation Paper: Regulatory Reporting Guide for Authorised Financial Advisers is available on FMA's website at
www.fma.govt.nz/laws-we-enforce/policy/current-consultations/consultation-paper-regulatory-reporting-guide-for-authorised-financial-advisers/
