Pursuant to section 395(3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Director of Maritime New Zealand hereby notifies the granting of the following exemptions:
- 1 from Marine Protection Rule 200.19 - Offshore Installations - Discharges - Operations - Oil filtering equipment - Owner of offshore installation must ensure it is fitted with oil filtering equipment in accordance with requirements in subrules 200.19(1) and 200.19(2)
- 1 from Marine Protection Rule 200.20 - Offshore Installations - Discharges - Operations - Oil residue (sludge) tanks - Owner of offshore installation must ensure it is fitted with an oil residue (sludge) tank large enough to hold all oil and oily mixtures, and designed and constructed to allow cleaning and emptying
