Pursuant to section 79(5) of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 ("HSNO Act"), the Environmental
Protection Authority (EPA) advises that it approved on
27 June 2013 the amended code of practice:
HSNOCOP 44 Below ground stationary container systems for petroleum - design and installation
The purpose of this code of practice is to provide a
means for the design and installation of below ground stationary container systems for petroleum. It provides
a practical means of compliance, with the requirements
of Schedule 8, clauses 33(a), 73(3)(a)(iii), 73(3)(b)(iii), 73(4)(b), 77, 81(1), 32, 34, 35, 35A, 36 and 77 of the Hazardous Substances (Dangerous Goods and Scheduled Toxic Substances) Transfer Notice 2004 (as amended).
Pursuant to section 80(1) of the HSNO Act, the code can be inspected on request at the Wellington office of the EPA, Level 10, ANZ Tower, 215 Lambton Quay, Wellington 6011.
