Notice of the Final Determination on Antarctic Geographic Names

Pursuant to sections 10(1)(a), 25 and 21(2) of the New Zealand Geographic Board (Nga Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa) Act 2008, the New Zealand Geographic Board Nga Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (the "Board") hereby gives notice of final determined Antarctic geographic names.
These are now official geographic names and are specified in the first column of the Schedule below ("the Schedule").
The geographic feature type that they relate to is set out in the second column of the Schedule.
The description for each name is set out in the third column of the Schedule.
The Board’s final determination on these Antarctic geographic names takes effect on 26 January 2012.

Compost Peak Peak 84°06'34?S Latitude, 165°10'53?E Longitude. A peak in Queen Alexandra Range, west of Grindley Plateau, south of Wahl Glacier, and approximately 3.2km north of Levi Peak. Topographic maps (1:250,000): NZMS 166 SV 51-60/4-The Cloudmaker, and USGS SV 51-60/4-The Cloudmaker. New name for a feature not named.
Fitzpatrick Glacier Glacier 77°49'18?S Latitude, 160°08'49?E Longitude. A glacier approximately 3.2km south south-west of Fireman Glacier just south of Cassidy Glacier in the western part of Quartermain Mountains, Victoria Land. Topographic maps (1:250,000) NZMS 166 ST 57-60/5-Taylor Glacier, and (1:50,000) 77199-Y1-TM-050-Beacon Valley. New name for a feature not named.
LaFratta Point Point 77°21'38?S Latitude, 163°02'53?E Longitude. A point at the north-eastern extremity of Mount Doorly, approximately 10.8km north-west of King Pin, and approximately 10km north north-east of Lake Brownworth. Topographic maps (1:250,000): NZMS 166 ST58-61/5-McMurdo Sound, and USGS ST57-60-Ross Island. New name for a feature not named.
Liston Glacier Glacier 77°39'14?S Latitude, 161°04'28?E Longitude. A glacier, easternmost of a series of three glaciers on the northern side of western Taylor Glacier in the McMurdo Dry Valleys region, located approximately 3.2km east of East Groin, north of Round Mountain, and just south-west of Wolak Peak. Topographic map (1:250,000) USGS ST57-60, Taylor Glacier. New name for a feature not named.
Marinelli Head Headland 77°51'50?S Latitude, 164°27'32?E Longitude. A headland in the south-eastern part of the McMurdo Dry Valleys region approximately 11.7km south of The Strand Moraines, and at the south-eastern base of Hobbs Ridge that forms the south entrance to Blue Glacier from McMurdo Sound. Topographic maps (1:250,000): NZMS 166 ST58-61/5-McMurdo Sound, and USGS ST57-60-Ross Island. New name for a feature not named.
Zwally Glacier Glacier 71°12'44?S Latitude, 165°08'12?E Longitude. A glacier flowing generally north-westerly from its source just north of Pilon Peak and emptying into Ebbe Glacier between Mount Craven and Everett Spur, in the north part of Everett Range. Topographic map (1:250,000): SR 57-58/15, Mount Soza. New name for a feature not named.
