Notice of Adopted Undersea Feature Names

Pursuant to sections 26 and 21(2) of the New Zealand Geographic Board (Nga Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa) Act 2008, the
New Zealand Geographic Board Nga Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (the "Board") hereby gives notice of 11 adopted undersea features names.
These are now official geographic names and are specified in the first column of the Schedule below ("the Schedule").
The generic feature type that they relate to is set out in the second column of the Schedule.
The description for each name is set out in the third column of the Schedule.
The Board’s final determination on these adopted undersea features names takes effect on 26 January 2012.

Black Basin Basin 44°47.10'S Latitude, 167°30.50'E Longitude. A depression in the sea floor, descending to a maximum depth of 114m, and lying to the south-east of Black Point in Bligh Sound, Fiordland. Depicted on Bligh Sound Chart©, Irwin & Main 1985.
Bligh Basin Basin 44°44.00'S Latitude, 167°05.00'E Longitude. A depression in the sea floor, between George Ridge to the west and Bligh Ridge to the east, with a broad basin, descending to a depth of 2,550m, and located west of Bligh Sound, Fiordland. Bradshaw Basin Basin 45°17.35'S Latitude, 167°03.40'E Longitude. A depression in the sea floor, trending west-east, descending to a maximum depth of 423m, and located along the length of Bradshaw Sound, an arm within Doubtful Sound / Patea, Fiordland. Breaksea Basin Basin 45°29.00'S Latitude, 166°23.00'E Longitude. A depression in the sea floor, with a wide bottomed floor, descending to a depth of 3750m, located west of Breaksea Sound, Fiordland. Depicted on Dusky Chart©, Mitchell & Garlick, 2001.

Espinosa Bank Bank 45°18.877'S Latitude, 166°58.536'E Longitude. A small bank on the sea floor lying at the north-western end of the Malaspina Basin, descending from 70m to a depth of 230m, and located approximately 2km west from Espinosa Point in Doubtful Sound / Patea, Fiordland.
